Content: This is from the www.endandgeredbreedassociation.org I belong to The LA Legislature has a new bill that gives an owner 3 days to claim their dog before it is euthanized. This is not very much time. Senate Bill 690 ….address of its owner or keeper or other identification, including but not limited to an electronic chip, it shall be impounded for a minimum of three days to give the owner time to search for and claim it. If the owner or keeper claims the dog, he shall pay the citizen or officer a fee of one dollar for seizing and a fee of twenty-five cents for each day it is impounded. After being impounded for a minimum of three days without being claimed, it may be disposed of in a humane manner.
